Bobby Burns, as my dad likes to call him, is from the same place my dad’s dad was from. My dad reads his poetry in the Scottish accent his parents carried to America with them. We have had poetry nights where everyone brings a poem to share. Inevitably, someone in the family shares a Robert Burns poem, in full Scottish tongue.
