The Whip Tavern

Have you got a dad? Are you a dad? Do you sometimes, unencumbered by a sense of self-awareness, make dad jokes? You know? Like what's the difference between a carnival and a circus? A circus is more "in tents". Did you like that joke?

Well, you know what else you're going to like? A 32oz hand cut bone-in rib-eye and a complimentary pint of beer. Our way of saying, "Thanks, Dad!" in the hopes that, properly buttered up, you'll let us have the keys to the car and look the other way when we miss curfew.

Update: The complimentary dad beer is offered during brunch service, the steak is a dinner feature starting at 4pm!

The Whip Tavern

This weekend we'll be clinking beers and breaking bread in honor of the Belmont Stakes. Chef Tim will be serving a New York Strip steak, Manhattan Clam Chowder, and a New York style cheesecake!

Pictured below, the first horse to win the Triple Crown, before it was a thing horses did. Sir Barton was a bad boy on and off the track, being described as generally ill-tempered, with rumors swirling about illegal drug use. He was once seen riding shotgun in Babe Ruth's Packard touring car wearing a raccoon coat and smoking a cigar. Later that night someone described as "a big old horse" knocked out famed flying ace Charles Lindbergh at a garden party.
